Media Advisory: Acadia Place Playground Upgrade Celebration
What: A family-friendly celebration at our upgraded, outdoor playground in Acadia - featuring a short program to recognize everyone involved, food and refreshments, and children’s activities. When: Friday, August 31, 2018 from noon – 3 p.m. Where: Acadia Place Playground, 331 Heritage Drive SE Who: Volunteers and staff from HomeSpace, which is the owner and property manager for Acadia Place, including Bernadette Majdell, CEO; and volunteers and staff from CUPS, which is the social serving agency that operates the programs in the building Representatives from each of the playground upgrade donors:
- The City of Calgary Affordable Housing Community Grant Project
- The Christ Moravian Community Church
- Calgary South Rotary Partners
Why: Playgrounds play an essential role in early childhood development and provide a great platform to build healthy parent-child relationships. This playground recently underwent significant upgrades and we are celebrating all those who helped make this dream a reality. The children at Acadia Place can now enjoy the outdoors in their fun and improved play area.
