This property was conditionally purchased in February 2018 to construct a 38-unit, permanent rental apartment building for single adults. Total project cost was $5.4 million with occupancy in the fall of 2020. This building was made possible through an unprecedented joint commitment of the Government of Canada through the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation and the Government of Alberta, the generous commitment of philanthropic donors, including Visionary donor and builder, Calbridge Homes through the RESOLVE Campaign, and the City of Calgary. HomeSpace was awarded this site through a land disposition for non-market housing development from The City of Calgary following a competitive application process. We partner with Enviros Wilderness School Association for resident referrals, income testing, supports and community building.
