HomeSpace has three developments in the pipeline:
- Through Rapid Housing Initiative funding from CMHC, HomeSpace purchased and will renovate Forest Lawn Lodging House to create 27 units of supportive housing for people experiencing homelessness.
- In partnership with visionary donor Brookfield Residential and Calgary Homeless Foundation, with funding from CMHC and a land transfer from the City of Calgary, HomeSpace will be developing 49 affordable, family-oriented townhomes in the community of Seton.
- HomeSpace has purchased a vacant office building, Sierra Place, which will soon be repurposed into more than 100 units of affordable housing in the heart of Downtown, in partnership with Inn From the Cold. This exciting project will remove office surplus and create a hub for families in need in a prime location next to transit and amenities, bringing vibrancy and economic activity to the Calgary core.
